Willem shares his journey from design student to entrepreneur in the last few years.  It was delightful to discover how he works.  It was refreshing to be exposed to such tangible and natural work, while we are in such a world of distance and digital.  This was a fun and refreshing conversation!

I’m a maker, And when I’m making I get inspired by the interaction objects and stories can bring. Interested in : materials, shapes and techniques I like to work, very hands on.

For me a design is a tool to tell a story with my hands, I like to use my own hands because I believe an object gets a soul when you can still see the human touch and sweat in it. Where we are going to a world were this is slowly dying, where machines are our builders and the makers only think about functionality and money.

I want to express myself more in things, in A way that has been done before. This romantic beauty in craft that has changed trough humanity for decades is my fascination. I want to bring these forgotten romance, and stories back with my projects into objects that we can relay these days.
