Mervyn George is a seasoned technologist and has worked for tech firms in start-up, rapid growth and mature phases. Work experience in terms of roles spans executive leadership, sales, business development, education, implementation and post-implementation support. Industry sector coverage spans retail, consumer goods, healthcare, higher education, professional services, banking, automotive and high tech, and he has worked on long-term digital modernisation projects in China, the US, Middle East, UK and South Africa.
During his career, Mervyn has launched and run three successful global niche consulting businesses. At the tech firm SAP, Mervyn currently serves as an Executive Advisor in Innovation Strategy for Large Enterprises, as Venture Partner for SAP’s Intrapreneurship program, and leads the Africa leg of SAP’s 1 Billion Lives Social Impact programme. Beyond SAP, Mervyn is a growth strategy coach for start-ups looking to scale and serves as non-executive director, advisory board member, and board chairman for different early stage ventures.
