Mark shares the origin of the 48 Hour Film Project from an activity with friends in 2001 through to the global community it has become. We talk about what it is like as a participant in the 48HFP, and what keeps Mark and his team motivated after almost 20 years. Chris was a Local Producer in Amsterdam and Utrecht, and this experience was truly meaningful. We talk about how the experience has benefited so many people around the world to make their dream come true – to make a movie.

Mark Ruppert is a writer, director, producer who has worked in film and on-stage.  His producer credits include live theater, international festivals and films.  He created the concept of the 48 Hour Film Project and developed it into an international event that celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
