Author of ‘Voice. The conversational revolution: insights and opportunities’. Founder of Project Zilver to empower older adults with speech technology as well as the NL Speech Coalition, open components, and data sets for assistants. Open Voice Network (standards) ambassador. Regular keynote speaker. “Maarten instigates movements that shape the future”.

Previously Maarten founded the team guidance platform Teamily and the first global Augmented Reality platform Layar (44mln users, 18mln raised).

He lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands with his wife and 3 kids.
