Hannah shares her journey from coming from an artistic family to successfully writing and directing multiple television series and feature films.  She shares how her experience competing in the 48 Hour Film Project set her up for later success, and how she relied on the friends made at that time to make many of her commercial projects.  We dive pretty deep into what is behind her creative perspective and professional passion.  This episode is part of the 48 Hour Film Project series.

bio

Hannah Macpherson was born in Albuquerque New Mexico and studied Film Production at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She attended the UCLA Professional Program in Writing for Television in 2014.  Hannah created, wrote and directed the edgy teen thriller series T@GGED for AwesomenessTV – all three seasons are available on Hulu. She directed two episodes of season 1 of the Netflix show TRINKETS.  Hannah also wrote and directed SICKHOUSE, the first-ever, made-for-mobile, vertically-shot feature film. She wrote and directed a feature film called PURE for Blumhouse TV which is available on Hulu as part of the INTO THE DARK series.
 
She writes and directs feature films and television shows.  She currently has a half dozen things in development including a television series based on a book series and a feature film script, both at major studios.  She is about to begin prep on a feature film she will direct this Spring.

“Drain” – 48 hour film project short) which won Best Director and the movie won Best Film and 5 other awards.
