Born and raised in The Netherlands, Michael’s worked and lived in over a dozen countries across all continents and travelled to 60+. He has committed his life to work with people to improve the state of the world. From conflict resolution and social innovation in remote and conflict-affected regions to strategy, executive leadership and exponential scaling of startups, NGOs and corporates. He’s always purposefully embraced a role that bridges between the grassroots, policymakers and boardrooms. He is a founder, social entrepreneur and purpose activist. Co-creator of multiple innovation frameworks, and co-author of the Purpose Manifesto. A purpose-driven holistic innovation, well-being and leadership coach and startup mentor. A regenerative leader is driven by his purpose to empower leaders towards a future of human and planetary well-being. He’s founded Metamorphany Changemakers to empower new and existing changemakers and help purpose-driven entrepreneurs and leaders in Government, NGOs and Education scale their impact. Inspired by his wife and three children, he is committed to catalysing systemic change and facilitating the emergence of new economic, social and governance models that make our old and outdated ones obsolete.
