Anastasia shares how she started a data company from here experience researching applied and theoretical mathematics.  As part of the Startup in Residence programme of the city of Amsterdam, they achieved their first launching customer with a solution to optimise the routes of waste vehicles.  This was a great conversation about a team coming from acadamia and moving into the entrepreneurial world.

Anastasia is currently a researcher at Imperial College London and co-founder of Skialabs. She is interested in optimization and applied probability and the applications of these topics in machine learning, privacy, and human intelligence. She co-founded Skialabs in order to bring academia and industry closer together. At Skialabs she works on building a software platform which uses advanced optimization to streamline waste management in cities.

Skialabs is building a data-driven and flexible software platform to streamline last-mile garbage collection. Our platform facilitates on-demand pickups, minimizes driving times and maximizes recycling.
