Investigate how well the processes are standardised and if the quality of the processes is measured.

Listen to people to discover the beliefs, behaviours and skills which are celebrated in the business and compare these with your own.

Decide if there are any activities, projects or other discretionary spending which could be paused in order to give you time to decide what has the highest priority.

Identify any must-do or high-risk projects ongoing which needs urgent attention.
