15 questions to accelerate your next year at work

Congratulations on your work anniversary!  We have prepared the below list of questions to challenge you to think a bit out of the ordinary about your business.  

Look for ways you can simplify your business to achieve more clarity, confidence and control!

Find evidence of how your business is living up to it’s purpose.

Go meet some customers and ask them how they feel about interacting with your business.

Identify ten experiments you can do quickly to make small improvements to your product or service.

Do something to feel different (wear colored glasses) and do a full walk through of your customer journey and look for any details which feel out of place.

Define three personal development goals for yourself to achieve this year.

What is a single new metric which you should be tracking to improve your performance?

Talk to five salespeople or people who know your market very well and listen to what they think the trends are at the moment.

Review your branding and challenge yourself if it is still appropriate for your customers and products.

Do a review of all the people you work with to get your work done and reflect if there are any gaps in the diversity of thinking and perspective.

What data can you remove from your business, as this will help you focus on security and quality of less data.

Make an inventory of all the tools you are using and challenge if you can stop using some or if there are more effective solutions available.

Reflect on your processes and challenge yourself if you can standardise anything and avoid exceptions.

Make a list of your beliefs, behaviours and skills you use at work and challenge each of them to see which you should keep doing, improve, start doing or stop altogether.

What can you stop doing?

Reflect on all of the above and ask yourself what could happen in the market that could put you out of business?
